What you will find here: Intended to display minor modifications to my Westfield SEi, this blog now witnesses the two year rebuild (and more) after a major crash in October 2011. Have fun and feel free to add a comment at the end of any post.

Oil filter's new home

The oil filter fouls the chassis rail in it's original position. Furthermore it sits quite low and could be damaged. Mocal sells parts to mount the oil filter remote. And if it wasn't my car, it wouldn't have been modified. First cut off the unneeded part ...
... cut, drill, thread a piece of steel ...
... weld it to the chassis. Done.
Air from the fan will additionnally cool the oil in the filter. Together with the bigger oil-pump, I hope I can avoid mounting an oil-cooler (saving weight). The pump can now be mounted and connected.
Cheers.
