Westfield SEi (1988) Car Specs


New specs as off September 2013, rebuild finished after crash:
Engine
Type: Ford X-flow (Kent) 711M-6015-B-A by Vulcan Engines (Spec.110)
Displacement: 1696ccm (424x4cyl.) Hepolite pistons +0.090 
bore 83.82mm x stroke 76.84mm
New pistons and rings from NĂ¼ral 87-780617-00 fitted in 2013
alternatively AE ref. 21426V1 1.00MM
(normally these are fitted to the 1298cc engine @ 8/9:1
suitable to raise compression up to 9.5/10.3 in a larger capacity engine)
Cylinder Head: Maxiflow 1 (Vulcan)
Valves: inlet 1.625" (41,275mm); exhaust 1,340"(34.036mm); extra strong single springs
Camshaft: Kent BCF2 Sports 290° valve clearance: in 0.36mm; out 0.46mm
Converted from carburettors (twin 40mm-Dellorto) to injection in 2013:
Fueling: Jenvey two dual throttle bodies 40mm, 4x 272cc/min injectors
Fuel Pumps (external): Facet LP (integrated filter), Bosch HP
Fuel pressure regulator: Sytec (plus gauge) set to 3bar
Fuel filter: Sytec HP 
Fuel swirl pot: SVC 1 Liter capacity
Fueling and Ignition controlled with Emerald ECU
Cooling: Caterham water cooler, SPAL electric fan
Oil: Castrol 20W50 Classic 
Oilpump: PACE DSP5 wet sump
Oil filter: Mocal remote support with Hengst oil filter H90W19 (PH5713)
Oil catchtank: Sandtler with K&N breather filter, to be changed
Waterpump: original Ford
Belt: AVX10 x 750

Airfilter: K&N
Exhaust can: Westfield 5 1/2" no cat 1712051 (16521)
Exhaust manifold: Westfield 4-1 type 1711002 (16521) ???

Emerald ECU
Ford type double coil for wasted spark 
NGK BPR7ES (gap = 1mm or 40thou)

QED trigger-wheel 36-1
Marelli crank sensor

1988 SEi Narrow ( ' i '  means independant rear suspension )
This chassis came in two different sizes: narrow and wide, see the difference in below drawing:

rear shocks with Faulkner springs 11" x 1.9"ID 200lbs/in
